STANDING COMMITTEES:
See the chairs & members of each committee
Communications Committee:
Creates a plan to connect with Retired members including newsletters, websites, and emails.
Constitution and Bylaws Committee:
Reviews CBL annually. Recommends needed updates or changes to the Retired Governing Board.

Finance Committee:
​
Consists of the Executive Committee and one director elected by the Retired Governing Board. Develops the annual budget for Retired.
​
​Legislative Action Committee:
Responsible for submitting legislative goals to Retired. Works closely with the Education Minnesota Legislative Action Committee. Monitors issues important to Retirees and public education.
​
Membership Committee:
​Responsible for the recruitment of members.
​
Nominations and Elections Committee:
Establish process and timeline for local elections. Reviews nomination submissions and ballots. Conduct the election for Retired officers, directors and delegates.
Program Committee:
Plans programs and events for members, such as conferences and seminars.​​​​​​​​
Statements of Principle Committee:
Statements of Principle are the guiding values of our organization and make changes to the Retired members.

SPECIAL COMMITEES:

Grant Committee:
Create and submit grants for special projects to NEA and AFT.
​
Local Chapters Committee:
​
Assist in organizing local chapters across Minnesota. Provides
local chapter support with grant opportunities.
​
Regional Meetings Committee:
​
Organize regional meetings across Minnesota. Create an agenda
that includes presentations by members.
​
Social Justice Committee:
Review events, policies, and structures with an equity lens.
Recommend needed changes to move our organization towards more equity and diversity.
