Continuous Membership

Retirees must register for this membership on line.

You may qualify to continue as a member of Education Minnesota in retirement at no additional cost to you if:

Are 55 years of age or older
Retired after September 1, 2015
Have been a member for at least 10 years (does not have to be continuous). Special provisions for locals organized less than ten years.
Were an active member in good standing at the time of retirement
Qualify for a public pension

2026 NEA Retired Annual Meeting:

The NEA Retired Annual Meeting was held in Denver, Colorado this past summer. Education Minnesota Retired won a State Website Award. The award is in recognition of the extraordinary work in support of NEA-Retired and public education.

2025 NEA Retired Annual Meeting:

Accepting our Retired Education Minnesota Membership Awards from Anita Gibson (NEA-Retired President), were Judy Rohde (NEA Board of Directors and ED MN Retired Membership Chair) and Wes Tessman (ED MN Retired President) during the 2025 Retired Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon .
